Houston Rapper SHONSKI2Raw’s “Mr.Squiggles” Album Review

Released a couple of weeks before the new year of 2022, “Mr.squiggles” is the Houston Rapper SHONSKI2Raw’s latest album. A 13-track album that dwells on the come-ups, tribulations, and mistrust with friends family, and women, of a young artist growing up out of the “gutter” as he says. 

SHONSKI2Raw’s voice is already an instrument with his distinct tone being touched up with autotune. Which adds on to his raps which run the gamut from percussive shouts to singing his soul out in songs like “Murder Hornet” on the chorus. Screaming in an almost love song while putting all of this over the vintage guitar strums and palette of trap drums and percussion. To then switch it up on almost a club vibe in “Above The Rim” featuring K3 Gigante, delivering a lifestyle of drugs big body Benz and a flock of females in the entourage. 

SHONSKI2Raw’s “Mr.squiggles” goes back and forth on the spectrum from dropping us in his pain from betrayal in songs like “Roll dawg” as he says “I was big homie, niggas did me dirty, I watch em all fall.” To even still remaining vulnerable through his album lets us in on his upbringing in the intro song “just being honest” SHONSKI2Raw tells us “I come from the slums for real, my aunty woke up with a roach in her ear.” letting us know how he’s seen some f’d up things while being raised.

“Mr.squiggles” is Houston Rapper SHONSKI2Raw’s debut album which is fun and touching for the come-up of dude painting his pain on melodic electric guitar trap beats.
